Here's what we'll learn today Reader
Yesterday, we had our FIRST EVER Soapbox LA event! Wahoo! It was shining, shimmering, and splendid.
During the event, I asked our new friends, "how do we feel about the economy?"
To no one's surprise, everyone gave a thumbs down... or two.
It's no big secret that the US economy, which in turn affects the global economy, is in a period of epic suckery.
And no, I'm not talking about the stonk market.
We're in an era where life on earth is intertwined with an extractive economy: extractive to people, extractive to our precious natural resources, and extractive to our souls.
It's time to throw that whole man out in the trash and get a new one.
Our March theme is The New Economy and we'll explore multiple facets like what your bank is doing with your money, how you can get involved in buying nothing, what we can do about wealth hoarding, and more.
We take each month in a CONNECT-LEARN-ACT-REFLECT sequence, with one module for each Wednesday of the month. Today, we'll CONNECT with some questions to connect with yourself, others, spirit, and systems!

β CONNECT with 4 questions on our current economy and your imagination of the new one
Every CONNECT module, youβll get up to four prompts to connect with yourself, others, spirit, and systems.
Your mission is to take whatβs in these Changeletters and bring it into one of those dimensions.
What is your definition of the economy? (Systems)
What about the economy is and isn't working for you? (Self, systems)
When is a time you felt rich that had nothing to do with money? (Self, spirit)
What does an economy that works for people + planet look like to you? What do YOU have to change/learn/give up/add for this? (Self, systems)
The whole point of today's CONNECT module is to take these out of your inbox and into the world, whether that's through going on a walk and thinking about how you connect with the place you live, posing this question to a friend, or getting to know yourself a little bit better.
That's it for today! Next week we will sink our teeth into some facts and LEARN!
Love,
Nivi
A cartoon of "Climate Summit" with a speaker listing various benefits like "energy independence, livable cities" etc and a speech bubble from the audience that says "what if it's a big hoax and we create a better world for nothing?"
